    Digital Scaling

There are hundreds of scaling brands available in the market but I am not satisfied. I need digital scale for perfect measurement of my products which can meet my requirements. What platform is best to get latest prices of quality and branded scales?

I love my RCBS chargemaster combo.

Best price is usually from Natchez.

And if you spend a little more you qualify for the 500 bullet rebate.
I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.

May I ask what you are not satisfied? What are your requirement? If we know maybe we can point you to the right one.

        Thank you

If you are using the HF scale and you are at least a half grain under max, I'd agree with you. In fact it is probably all you need to check your bushings for shotshell loading, but a few tenths of a grain might make a difference if you are into really accurate loads. For blasting, its fine. The scale also works well for counting parts. I use it to count out my cast bullets.

For 0.1g accuracy, the Lee scale works for me, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have opposing thumbs or need 6 foot long arms to see clearly

                    I just went through this.

                    a grain = 1/7000 a pound. 1 gram ~= 15.43 grains

So a 0.1g scale - which is most of the ones out there is accurate to +/- 1.54 grains.

Some of the recipies I'm looking at have a range of a couple grains.

                    1. I bought a Lee manual scale - it IS possible to measure to .2grains - 0.1 if you spend some time learning it.

                    2. Amazon has quite a few .01grain and even 0.001 grain electronic scales for under $20/30 each. I bought one of each BUT THEY HAVE NOT ARRIVED YET.

From what I've seen - the manual scales are not easy to 'count' items or to measure on the fly. Basically you zero them and then manually set them to the grains you want and then fill powder until it zeros.

I bought both types - manual and electronic as a check and balance (no pun intended) and to check how accurate I can be using the powder dippers ( I also bought the full set of Lee dippers from Amazon, and alas, they also have not arrived.

BUT - I don't think a 0.1g scale from harbor freight or your nearest headshop is going to be accurate enough for pistol rounds... I could be wrong.

                    .

I use the Gemini, it's cheap (even cheaper now) and is damn accurate. Read the review by the scientist doing experiments on it in the lab.

Accurate enough to measure your finger print.
Lots of reloaders use it. The size of the inner recessed circle on the scale is the size of a .308 shell.

I just got mine in the mail (same model - Gemini 20), and it's dead on for 10 grams (a dummy weight). I measured a small washer using the manual and it was like 1.0 frains. The Gemini measures 1.23 grains. They DO take a bit of time to settle, but once it does - make your measurements quick and they are very repeatable.

If money is no object, get an Ohaus and get it professionally calibrated.
