I dont understand the dillon Shellplates..

    the "conversion kit" is all you need to change calibers it DOES NOT have the dies. I use the same powder messure and move from tool head to tool head that has the dies mounted and adjusted, so you do not need a powder messure for each caliber/tool head.

    I would get a new tool head with each caliber that way you can keep the dies mounted and adjusted yes also buy/put on a powder mesure "die" also for each tool head, to mounted stuff makes caliber change out only a few minutes unless you have to change th primer size.

      Rwnielsen, how do you know the shell plate for the 308/.45 is the same? I cant find any info on that..
      45/308 = same shellplate

        my dillion "manual' that came with the laoder has a few pages in the back that shows part numbers for all the caliber conversion parts, easy enough to look up the various calibers you need to know about ans see if part numbers are the same.
