    Pressure, feed and accuracy.

Depending on the caliber, the OAL might affect pressure in a critical manner. Depending on the gun, OAL might mean the difference between feeding and not. If you are a fair hand behind the trigger, you may see a difference in your accuracy at different OAL's. If you do see a difference in accuracy related to OAL, you know you are there, loading for handguns.

OAL affects pressure and accuracy. I found my Glock likes 1.150" OAL better than 1.135". The groups are noticeably smaller, but more consistent. Same thing with the 9mm. What I do is work up the load at different OALs within the OAL range. In the 9/40 I typically do 1.150", 1.130", and 1.110" OAL. The problem is with lighter bullets there isn't much sitting in the case at the long OALs so I stick to 125s or 147s or 155+ in the 40.

sorry about all the questions. I have been reading and using the answers you guys have given. I picked up some aa7 and powerpistol powders the other day. I looked alliants website for load data for 155 plated but only found load data for speers golddot 155.

That will work fine, Gold Dots are also plated.
