I have a Lyman press and use regular motor oil. 20W-50 from my motorcycle stash.

I use a grease called hater sauce. It is made for paintball markers but it works really well on the ram and pins. Another thing I have noticed is over the last 5000 rounds I have used my LnL it has gotten a lot smoother. Lube it yes but if you reall want it smooth, use it more.
I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.

Anywhere there is metal to metal contact that moves against eachother should have some type of lubrication to prevent wear.

The ram obviously, the hinge points of the handle and brackets. Even a quick wipe down with some form of protection (I use Remington Spray) to keep the press from getting any type of rust on the metals that are vulnerable (if any on yours).
