Is the ammo shortage a good thing?

I know there are a lot of opinions and thoughts on the current ammo shortage we are currently experiencing. I was thinking today that if the most common calibers are extremely hard to get right now, does that mean that the criminals and gang bangers are having a hard time getting ammo as well? Maybe they have nothing to feed their stolen firearms, and that would be a good thing!

Is this a joke ? No it's not a good thing. It's like saying the same thing for fire arms. No it's not a good thing.

It's not a joke! It's just another way of looking at a current situation. I'm sorry if you didn't stock any ammo and now either cant find it or you're over paying. I have enough stocked for at least the next 3 years, and that's before the craziness.

Short answer. Criminals will still have ammo. It isn't like their only source to buy ammo is Walmart.

My silver lining is.. It got me into loading, so, yes.

Criminals get guns and drugs illegally, lack of ammo isn't going to slow them down.
After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".

A criminal is not bothered by shortages, they only need one bullet to take a life and whatever ammo the person has. I am afraid you sound like a politician, I cant control the criminals so I will take away everyones ammo.

Criminals will get ammo the same way they get their guns, steal it.

                Not sure if serious...

If I absolutely HAD to find something positive I've traded for some stuff I needed, but I would have PREFERRED to be able to just go out & buy the stuff.

With all the ammo restrictions being talked about in the future of California, we will all see ammo reloading houses for criminals instead of meth houses. Watch!

hehehe, I think the logical conclusion here now is:

Criminals are users of ammo and use it for bad things.

Law Abiding folks are users of ammo and use it for good things,

                    BUT,

Reloaders are the meth cooks of ammo and they just pump it out for their own pleasure and to sell... :\

No? Does not work? Well it is just another way of looking at it...

The only way this could be a good thing is that we can be pretty sure what we DO buy will be fresh. That's not enough to make it worthwhile, to me.

Let's face it, criminals don't even NEED ammo. They just point the gun and people give up their wallets. If they mean to do harm, a single bullet is all they need.

Not, it's not a good thing. And even people who switch to reloading are out of primers.

The only possible good thing is if the ammo companies make more, and retailers realize people do buy ammo, and stock more.

Criminals burn through their ammo sparingly, for the most part. A majority of the born to loose types that do most of our shootings don't even walk around with full magazines, or full cylinders.

But as to your original question... does the shortage impact them? No. No it does not. They generally steal everything that they use in the first place. So until there's a shortage of safes and RSC's (because everyone wises up and buys one for their firearms), we'll not see an impact in their ability to rob, steal, and kill using guns.
