Ever Have One of those Days?

Did you ever have one of those days where just about everything goes right with your shooting?

At lunchtime, I went to the range to test out some Red Dot loads in 45 ACP. I started with the standard loads of 5.0g Unique and was putting just about all the rounds in my 1-1/2" bullseye at 13 yards. Went over to the Red Dot loads and was still "shooting out the circle" with those loads. The loads felt almost identical but I was mostly pleased with my shooting. Finished off another 100 rounds then went over to the M&P40.

100 rounds later I was still keeping most of the rounds in the 1-1/2" circle and all of them inside the 3" circle. Boy was I happy. 250 rounds expended at a cost of about $15 in components. This was a very good outing.

I have had days where I would only get a couple shots in the bullseye per mag and the rest of the target looked like a buckshot pattern at 50 yards.
On those days I feel down and say "I don't think I could hit water if I fell out of a boat"

Then I stopped at the LGS to see if they are getting any better with ammo or components:

I don't like to "whistle while walking by the cemetery", but I am sure glad I took up reloading several years ago when I started shooting again. I did it to be able to afford the practice, now I'm thankful just to be able to shoot at all.

I then spent a couple of hours replenishing my supply of loaded ammo and hardly made a dent in my supply of powder, primers and cast bullets.

All in all, a very nice day. Here's hoping you have had and will have days like this too.

its sad because they usualy have a prettey decent stock.

the picture on the right usualy is full of pistol caliber ammo, and the back side of that shelf usualy is full of rifle calibers.

the pic on the left are the bullets once again usualy full of componets shelf deep.

across the top are a display empty powder bottles of what they have in back, if the bottle is upside down it means they are out of stock. notice they are all upside down.
I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.

Reminds me of when I got that SA Operator. Turned my reloads into lazers and it took them lil 1" stickers with them on each shot...

Sportsman's Warehouse has not been gouging at all during this period and has been pretty fair about making sure everyone gets a chance to buy something when they get a shipment in. They have had good prices in the past, usually better than mail order when taking hazmat into consideration. I'll remain a loyal customer of theirs in the future.

I 100% agree, they have been very consistent in there pricing very fair in there pricing and as much as I wish they didn't have limits on some items I understand why they do and will even admit their limit on primers probably allowed me to get some. I will continue to shop there, while I will not shop places that gouged.
