    What case trimmer?

What trimmer should I get? I am a beginner and I am asking the experts...That would be you guys. I have read, this one doesn't trim properly, this one doesn't trim down to .001. Let me know what will help. I want a manual one. Thanks

I had a RCBS hand powered one and it was fine. Then I was given an electric powderd RCBS unit and sold the hand one. It works fine also.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

This one from Sinclair... don't forget to order the correct case holder (sold separately)
I assume you are planning on trimming bottle neck cases, no one trims straight walled cases unless they have way too much time on their hands.
Never follow the advice of Calguns Addicts,
They clearly don't know what they are talking about.

For 18 years, I've used a Lyman Universal Chuck trimmer with their power drill adapter bar. I can trim 10-12 cases per minute, but I then have to campher and deburr the case mouths.

If you're just starting out and you're not doing 10,000 cases at a time, where you'd want a $500 Giraud trimmer, my Lyman with drill adapter bar might be fine for your needs.

Under $100, with adapter bar and two cutting heads and it will trim many different cases without the need of collets to hold them in place.

          What is your budget?

I highly recommend a motorized one. Either hooked up to a drill or has it's own motor.

Little Crow Gunworks "World's Fastest Trimmer"

Little Crow Gunworks developed the World's Finest Trimmer as a precision tool that will last a lifetime. One of the unique features is that the WFT uses a source of power that most reloaders already own.

Only downside to these is that you have to buy a new trimmer for each caliber. They are extremely fast and easy to use though, and accurate to within .001" .

                It is a great timmer!

You don't need a new trimmer for every caliber - just when you change from one parent cartridge. I.E. the .308 trimmer works for 7mm-08, 260 Rem, etc. The website has a list.

Possum Hollow quick trimmer works awesome and for 36.00 you get the trimmer/drill adapter.

Also give the CTS trimmer some consideration.
