I just use the Dillon or Frankford Arsenal spray lube. They're the same thing (lanolin + 99% iso alcohol) but mixing it seems to yield some problems, so i just buy it. 1 bottle lasts a long time.

Is there a general concensus on what the best lubricant is?
The general consensus among experienced reloaders is Imperial Sizing Wax.

Not be different but i have had great luck with the Lee stuff and a RCBS pad. The Lee seems to be a water base and does not gum up my dies.

            Dillon......
My mother always told me to be careful what you ask for.

Just one more piece of parental advice I stupidly ignored.

Call me crazy, but I tried out an idea I heard on the Internet somewhere.

Any hoo, cooking spray worked in my last 1000 batch of .223 I always tumble after sizing and trimming anyway.
Never had a problem with one shot in the last 3 cans I used.

I could totally see that working. Hell, use the butter flavored spray and it might smell like popcorn after you fire a round.

I must be one of the last to use rcbs lube pad. I've never had a stuck case with it so I've never tried anything else. Maybe I'm missing the boat?

Only stuck case I have had was with One Shot as well. Went to Dillon and no issues now.

Imperial Sizing Wax for Single Stage

Hornady One Shot for bulk .223.... if you got a stuck case, be a little more generous with application.

I started with one shot, i would frequently have problems. My friend and a veteran loader got me hooked on generic lubricants like tri-flow. I will NEVER use anything again. Little spritz on a towel quick roll, press and tumble for an hour to get the oil off.

I have not had a stuck or dimpled case since I switched.

Imperial wax I've done 4000 .223 lubed by the handfuls in a bus tub, had 1-2/1-3 left of the tin. Randall said I used too much.
