Stuck a case recently, and suspect it's the Hornady One-Shot lubricant I've been using.

Is there a general concensus on what the best lubricant is?

I only use One Shot on straight walled cases, works great.

For bottle necked rifle, I use Imperial sizing wax or for larger lots, Dillon pump spray lube (basically 1 part liquid lanolin, 8 parts 99% Iso Alcohol). I went to the trouble of finding liquid lanolin and the alcohol once, no more. I just order the Dillon lube when I have an order for something else from Graf and Sons. I have never stuck a case with either the Imperial or the Dillon (knock on wood).

Dillon case lube (Lanolin and 90% alcohol) has worked great for me while reloading rifle casings.

yep, One-Shot has made me a master at removing stuck cases Like Bill said I use it on my pistol brass just to make it a little easier. I have switched back to the RCBS pad and lube.

Again, I cannot agree with Bill more, only stuck rifle cases I have ever had were with Hornady one-shot. Never had one with the Dillon lube. I am a keep it simple kind of guy so once I ran out of the one-shot I had I just started using the Dillon lube for both rifle and pistol. Either one is fine for pistol, just don't use the Hornady lube for bottle-neck rifle cases.

Dillon all the way. I have had decent results with Lee lube mixed with alcohol. With the Dillon lube, it feels like you are cheating. I no longer dread resizing. With One Shot I had 3 stuck cases in 200. I don't like it!

i make my own, with 1/8 lanolin and 99% iso. works great.

I've been using the one shot for my .223 and .308, I gave not had a single case get stuck yet, but I don't let them sit for long before I size them, it seems as if you let them sit for a little after spraying with the one shot, they start drying and don't go so smoothly.

Only stucks cases I got were with One Shot, both Imperial sizing wax and the 1/8 lanolin/99 iso hasn't failed me in over 15k rifle cases. The One Shot got me 4 stuck rifle cases IN A ROW. It does work well for pistol brass and straight walled though.

I've used One Shot on a large batch of 223 cases and it worked fine. It's inert, so you don't have to tumble it after lubing, but one must follow the instructions to the 'T', if you're using it.

I don't bother lubing straight walled cases because for pistol carts, I use carbide dies and it's not truly needed, IMO.

For bottlenecks, I use RCBS Case Lube II, Imperial sizing wax and Dillon spray lube.

I like the first two for 100 ct. batches, or less, because I can wipe the lube off with a damp shop rag, or a dry cotton rag and not have to tumble the cases to get the lube off.

I use imperial when I am single stage sizing.
I use RCBS liquid lube when I am mass sizing 223 in my progressive press through a modified RCBS lube die.

Imperial for 50s. One shot for everything else.

I had nothing but trouble with hornady lube after I used up the last of my arosal(sp) RCBS lube. I then bought the RCBS pump spray lube Case-Slick Spray and no more troubles with anything from 204Ruger to 50BMG. Let me tell you some of the 223/308 and 50bmg brass that was fired on full-auto can be a bugger to size. Some of it I just cannot size no matter the lube. But anything fired on other than full-auto sizes fine.
I have Dillon but have not tried it yet. I figure if it is not broken why screw with it so I just keep using the RCBS pump spray lube.
