Looking for some 9mm ammo to introduce a new shooter...

I have a female friend who is really interested in learning to shoot. I told her I would be happy to teach her onmy 9mm Glock...but I'm all out of FMJ practice ammo. Tried to pick some up, but due to the ammo shortage, I can't seem to find any

Well, the only ammo I could find is either 1 dollar a bullet for crappy 9mm FMJ...or 45 cents a bullet for a case of 1000. Can't afford it at those ripoff prices. Does anyone have some 9mm stockpiled that I could purchase to help me out? I'm fine with reloaded ammo too...

If not that, can anyone at least suggest an ammo source with fair prices that accepts back-orders? Can't even find that right now..

btw...I'm in the santa cruz area.

I have a friend that doesn't reload. He goes down to Walmart and asks the ammo department guy when a shipment is coming in, he gets there the next morning at opening and buys all they will let him (at his store they have a limit per customer, so he usually brings one of his employees along). Seems to work for him.
When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones."

I bought some at Walmart Milpitas, limit was 3 boxes, you just have to ask the clerks and check regularly. Usually they don't know. Price was very reasonable, Federal 115 FMJ.

Cabelas has had Fiocci 9mm in stock pretty regularly for reasonable prices. I've ordered twice and had it within a week both times.

Nothing near you, but Gander Mountain had 9mm available online for $18/50 most of Sat.

Stone, are you taking her to the local shooting range? Can't you get her a bag there? It's $17/50 at mine.

You can always purchase ammo at your range as a backup.

                    Use http://www.gunbot.net/
Check it often. I was able to get 1000 round case from Luckygunner of Independence 9mm 115g FMJ for $254 shipped this week!, ordered on Sunday received yesterday. I got lucky and found it 4 minutes after it was posted and the website crashed over a dozen times before I was able to make it to checkout.

I have a friend cruising up to Salinas this weekend. I could send some ammo with them if you are interested. I don't have huge stockpiles, but I could probably sell you a couple hundred rounds for like $0.35/rd. I know it's not the best, but it's what I can replace it for atm. Shoot me a pm if interested.
