They have this black coated bullet and I was thinking of shooting it as a 10mm load outta my g21 w/g20 upper.

I think it is 170gr bullet though, truncated cone type but I am curious and I THINK the answer is YES, but, can I treat that the same as a 180gr for loading purposes? I wanna see how hot I can get them eventually cause it is only a glock so any info on them is appreciated. I was thinking of getting about 1k to try out.

I'm no expert but I would think that using the low end of the data for 180gr LSWC would be a good place to start.

      21 lower

OP, slightly off topic but what is the difference between a G20 and G21 lower. I thought they were the same?

It's perfectly safe to treat a lighter bullet like a heavier one in regards to loading. With the same charge, a lighter bullet will be going faster, but with less pressure. And I'm sure you already know, but I just wanted to point out that the bullets on that site are not jacketed, so you should be using data for lead 180gr bullets and not jacketed data.

They are the same. OP just put a G20 slide on a frame that was originally on a G21.

Do yourself a favor: Buy some 180gr jacketed bullets (I use Zero 180gr JHP's) and run then over 9.2gr Longshot. You get true 10mm velocity, single digit ES/SD, great accuracy & no leading or moly fouling. Leave the moly/lead stuff for bunny fart loads in 10mm (sub-1000fps). I've used the Precision 185gr RNFP's, and they're great bullets, but I like to run jacketed bullets for the hot stuff. Xtreme & PowerBond plated bullets also seem to hold up pretty well too.

I got that recipe from Freakshow10mm over 5 years ago, and it's still my favorite all around load for 10mm. I've used that Longshot load with 180gr FMJ, 180Gr CMJ & 180gr JHP. That load should get you running between 1200-1250fps depending on primers & OAL etc. The ZERO 180gr JHP's are hard to beat, and they're pretty cheap. Call Roze Dist & see if they have any, the website isn't always up to date.

I wonder how that load would translate over to a 9x25 dillon...
The load I developed for the 9x25 Dillon, was a 90gr XTP over 12.2gr Longshot w/CCI350's @ 1.260" OAL. That load averages 2054fps through my 6" G20LS, throws a hell of a fireball & sounds like a damn rifle. I posted a bunch more 9x25 data on here a while back, but I can PM you the links if you want. There was absolutely zero data for the 9x25 using Longshot when I started experimenting with it (even in the 10mm Reloading GT subforum), so I started my load development based on 357sig data.
