how much ammo do you buy?

i am a new manufacturer and havent really done alot of market research. im in the Army, transitioning out back into the real world. i am 25 this coming june, so i am just really interested in how much ammo people buy. i just bought a Camndex machine and am awaiting assembly and delivery. this may be a good time to figure out how much time it will take to get me out of the hole. i will just auto load 556 and hand load pistol calibers for now... good old dillion press. i want to sell 100k rounds a month, i plan to actually get this damn website up and running, and hopefully get on ammo seek as well. i jumped in with both feet and am not nervous at all, just a little scared out of my mind lol.

rough layout of prices once im in full swing...all per 1k

    556 -350
    9mm -225
    .40sw- -300
    45 - -320

all jacketed of course, most likely all hollows, i just like to load hollows lol.

any feedback is great please let me know.. with online and local sales aka calguns, craigslist ect... do you think i will make 100k goal each month? ASSUMING i can keep up with the orders that is... maybe 50k? just wondering who buys what. i will prob just end up throwing it out there on the market and seeing whats what. i am out of operation as i am in El Paso Tx and moving back to Sacramento, all my equip is in route home and i have to get re zoned back in cali, it will be a while. thanks again guys

    Thank you for your service.

No one is this sub forum buys ammo. Best to repost in the center fire forum.

Maybe rephrase the question. How much do you shooting on one outing? How often do you shoot? People at calguns really like polls. Maybe ask your original question that way.

But don't forget to differentiate between panic and pre/post panic times.

Prepare to get asked where you are going to source components from.

Just as a consideration. 100,000 rounds is $20,000-30,000 in components. So to generate 100k rounds per month you would probably need 3 months worth to combat supply line issues.

I only buy 22lr, as 9mm and 5.56 are reloaded here.

You should be able to reach fairly easily once you get established and have clientele.... you're problem is gonna be components right now. You might want to think about plated or fmj instead of hp for target ammo. Just more issues for you to deal with ammo not feeding in certain guns and greater cost.....

Good luck and thanks for your service!

hey guys thanks! i knew that it was a weird up front way to ask, but im not that good with words lol, i am a grease monkey! but especially JOELOGIC! great advice and ill be sure to check out the center fire forums thats awesome. and MIAMI...i thought about that also about the target ammo being hollows...its actually the same price for me to load hollows and ball, but i prefer hollows. they are just good looking, but its not about what i want its waht THEY want. good looking out! and thank you all for the warm welcomes back into the civilian world. i havent had any problems feeding the hollows, but i only shot out of the colt 1911 i have and a remington 1911. and i think a taurus my room mate had. but ball is better, that is true!

              Hmm.

I think it is weird to ask in a RELOADING forum. I believe that we had covered that before though.

BUT since you asked I will entertain the question. I only buy .22 because I build the rest.

And I will agree with Joelogic FTW...
