I prefer corn cob (bought cheap from Drillspot, Grainger, or local feed store if you have one) + Nu-Finish polish (or whatever polish came with your vibratory tumbler, if any). The reason being it creates far less dust than crushed walnut I found, especially if you add a used dryer sheet on occasion.

Walnut does a better job of polishing. You can cut down the dust by putting half a dryer sheet in with the brass -- it "soaks up" the dust quite well. NuFinish car wax is about $10 a bottle and you only need a capful or two.

Really foul brass needs stainless steel tumbling to get a burnish on it, then polish it up with the walnut.

^^ I agree. If your cases are extremely dirty use walnut first. No sense in dirtying up your polish / corn cob media any more than you have to.

I only have walnut so that's what I use. It doesn't really cause any dust that I've noticed at all.

It did leave media in the primer pockets when new, but now that its broken down a bit that's less of a problem.

Just did the same. Corncob blast media from Drillspot with Nu-finish and definitely noticed much less dust, cleaned better and in less time. Seems to last longer too.

I didn't like the lizard litter. Consistency was like sand and dusty. Drillspot corn cob has definitely been better.

corn media, I use old corn media to get the brass clean ans then switch to a clean corn media to get the brass polish.

Corn Cob with Cabelas polish and dryer sheets.
I tried Walnuts and have better luck with corn cob.

                        Vibratory tumbling <> stainless pins
