    Boxer or Berdan .308 Argentina?

I have a box that says:

    20 Cartouchos
    CAL 7.62x51mm COMUN
    LOT Mun 1 FLB 81
    Industria Argentina

They are brass CRIMPED PRIMERS .308 rounds with green stuff around the primers.

Are these boxer or berdan anyone know?

pretty sure they are Berdan. but a test will be to take it apart. get two pair of pliers and break it. look in side and if there is one hole your good; two is bad.

Yeah I do not want to pull it apart. If I did I would use my kinetic bullet puller.

Up until now all of my tools have been used for the good discovery of bullets, not to take them apart and then put them back together again and then shoot them... I suppose I could but I would rather just know ahead of time. I paid $13 for this box of 20 and I think there is another box there so I kinda wanna go get the other box, but only if it is boxer. I do not want to get berdan primers I wonder though if it is possible to put a large rifle primer into the hole once I manage to pop out the primer of the spent rounds. I would of course put the shells on my drill press and drill a flash hole in them.

Maybe worst case I will have to do the conversion myself...

Hmmm. I will have a look with my calipers to see if they are the same sizes or not first...

Berdan primed and good shooting ammo. I have a case left of what I got a number of years ago. Non-crorrosive also

yes, you can put a boxer primer in the hole -- but it won't stay --
          boxers are nominal .210dia - berdan .217 -

            Thanks for that number gunboat.

Maybe I will buy the other box since it was ONLY $13.00 for 20 rounds and that is better than nothing right now...

Hmmm, maybe I can use the primer crimps to my advantage here?
