    Anyone order powder from midway?

I have never ordered powder from midway before, I ordered 8lbs of tac that was in stock on 1-5-13 and it says that my order is processed but hasn't shipped yet. I have ordered other things and they shipped right away. Has anyone else had long shipping times on powder from them?

Like others, they are swamped by orders. I don't know how many days behind are they. But, just for reference, Powder Valley is about 2+ weeks behind; ie. if you order today, it won't ship for 2+ weeks. So ... it's the norm right now. Just be patient.

The problem with midway is if you order primers and powder from them they ship them from different spots and charge you 2 separate hazmat fees

So my guess is they are shipping the powder from another spot.

I order stuff from them all the time but never components.

BTW, you're going to love TAC.

I agree, everyone is way behind the curve. People that I have known that swore they would never reload are starting. People I have known for most of my life that had no interest in private gun ownership are out buying guns, planning on reloading. Frankly, if you would have told me the mania would get to this level, I would not have believed you.

I ordered a few tools from Natchez a week ago, with the order confirmation I got a notice the order would be delayed 2 weeks due to being swamped. Annoying they did tell me before I ordered, but not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I agree, things are so crazy, I have had people that I never thought would reload ask me a ton of questions because I have been reloading for years. People realize that they can't get ammo and that loading it themselves might work for them.

I ordered 8# of AA-5 but if you read closely, they say it will ship 4 weeks from the date of the order. I won't be getting anything until mid-February.

I also ordered 5,000 bullets (9mm) from XTreme Bullets and have not heard a single word on when they will ship but I imagine they too are back-ordered since all 9mm-124gr. RND are sold out everywhere.

Appears I'll be shooting rifle for the remainder of January, weather permitting.

My very recent Dec 21, 2012 experience with midway. Just the facts.

Ordered powder on Dec. 21st. Midway said it was in stock and drop shipped from the company, in this case Western Powders directly to me.

On January 4th midway notified Western Powder of my order and advised me of same too.

I called Western Powder numerous and I mean numerous times on Jan
10th but no one would speak to me other than the receptionist.

So I got tired of tiring to speak with the people at Western Powder and called Midway on Jan. 10th and asked to speak with a supervisor. I explained the situation and the supervisor she would get with the buyer or someone else higher up and get back to me on Monday regarding what was going on with my order.

So suprise, suprise on Jan. 11th my order was actually delivered to FedEx by Western Powder for shipment.

I have been follwing it's progress on the FedEx tracking website and it is sceduled to be delivered tomorrow.

Good luck to those whose powder is come from Western Powder.

Sounds like some of you are lucky enough to have your Midway order complete. I placed an order on December 28 of two powders that were listed in stock. I figured they would be back logged with getting orders out and was fine with that. Midway actually sent me an email saying the distributor was out of stock of the powders I ordered and they were cancelling my order.

So those of you that actually got your order I think have been lucky.

Those that have placed orders but have not received them I would say be patient but don't hold your breath.

I was bummed my order got cancelled because I rarely find one of the powders in stock and the powder I got from the Cow Palace gun show is a new powder so I will need to work up a new load.

I ordered some .224 black and silver tipped varmint bullets and some other things that WERE in stock from GRAFS last night and I expect things to get shipoepd out in the 3 weeks or so that they state on their homepage, but I hope that it ships out sooner...

Have hope folks, provided some flaming a-holes can keep their mouths shut or that maybe we can shut them for them things will look MUCH better in about 3 weeks or middle of FEB. YOU can quote me on this. Magically things are gonna get relieved in the next two weeks and pressure will be dropped in about 3 weeks, 4-5 weeks and things should almost be back to normal. AND if I am correct then I am gonna start looking for a job analyzing market fluctuations and trends... I honestly think what I just said though. I have been telling people since December and then Newtown happened... (what a dick...)

I've ordered some powder from MidWay last week. During the order they said that the powder portion would take 4 weeks. Received notification the next day that the other stuff in the order had shipped. The powder had this note: Attention: Attention: Powder ships separately approximately 4 weeks after order is placed. $27.50 Haz Mat plus $9.99 Shipping fees apply. Powder cannot be returned, 48 lb max, ground freight only, adult signature required and no shipments to HI or AK.

The shipping on this order ended up being pretty high, I didn't expect that I'd get hit with a haz mat charge for the one shot cleaner...
