Hmmm. Well I THINK it had something to do with a softness thingy, but they ALSO sell a blast shield too I think so that you can run whatever primers you want to.

I hope it makes seating primers in 45 cal a lot easier. Them tulas are a BIZNITCH!

Lee came out late last year with an upgrade/change in the priming parts.

I changed it out on mine and have loaded 3-4 thousand round with no primer problems.

i have it, even with the new priming parts i was never able to get the priming to work on the press, but i dont mind priming by hand, im able to inspect each case for cracks and imperfections that may cause problems. other then that its been great. i have loaded around 10k rounds on it a mix of 9,45, 223, and now im going to load 380auto for the wifes p238

FWIW the priming system works fine with a little tweaking. My main problem was I was too heavy handed. Is it perfect or problem free? no, but I can still load 350 rph pistol with priming on the press.

When I started i'd force primers in sideways and upsided down and whatnot.

I have one. use for 223 45 and soon 308.

I love it. it was cheap and runs very well. BUT like a few others have said, its got a certain rhythm that they like to run at. Do all the pre loading checks, make sure everything tight and tidy. When you first start out, you need to sweet talk it a bit and find its sweet spot it will run like a champ.

When i first started i had primer problems like everyone else. Then i slightly reamed out the primer pocket of all my cases. Giving them a slight bevel so the primers go in easier. All my primer problems disappeared 5000+ rounds since then.

I went the extra $$ for a progressive for the speed, I don't count on the press to prime and load brass.. that gives me a hands-on QA advantage, and I place my own bullets. The tedious labor of the Classic made no sense to me.

Having hot swap turrets is a big bonus.
After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".

After countless email exchanges with Lee tech support, my LM two years later still doesn't index properly.

You're going to get a mixed bag of responses on this topic obv.

How are you determining index? It's only a paragraph in the manual. Loosen the bolt at the end of the ram. Rotate the carrier clockwise until the tang bottoms on the frame, tighten bolt. There's a little more, but that's the jist of it.

I have the Progressive 1000, but deprime and insert primers separately. So I can use it for flaring and powder dispensing, bullet seating and Lee Factory Crimp dies, if needed.
