    WLR for the M1 Garand

    Anyone have any experience?
    don't want a slam fire to happen

    Have you read as much information on the web on what causes a slamfire? It's just not the primer, several factors can lead to it. dirty chamber, tight headspace, cases not fully resized properly, single loading without using a SLED or from a magazine/clip(a big cause of a slam fire), primers not seated flush or below flush plus a few others.

    As far as your question, I've shot a lot of Winchester LRP's with reloads in my Garands (3)and M-1 A's(2). I've had no issues with them. I have switched to using the CCI #41 for my Garands and M-1A's, but I would still use the WLRP's, being careful of the issues using reloads in a gas gun.

      I've used WLR primers in both Garand's and 1919's with no issues.
