BTW, the kit pictured has a handheld Lee trimmer. You can buy what I think Lee calls a length gauge (basically a threaded rod with a pin on the other end). It screws into the cutter and the pin goes through the flash hole. It provides a rough length stop (caliber specific). The package also includes a shellholder that when combined with the lock stud that comes with the cutter, allows you to chuck up the case in a drill and trim with power tools.

For me, I would use the cutter and length gauge by hand until I got fed up with that process, then move up to a CTS/Possom Hollow style trimmer. Just one opinion.

I tried the Lee Zip Trim and boy did it suck. Now I just tear through the cases quickly with "World's Finest Trimmer"

Ditto slo5oh: every kit is missing sumpin' best to find a good price and have it all shipped from as few sources as possible to save shipping costs. Make sure you order a manual

Trimming brass pretty much blows, the WFT makes it suck alot less its worth the $$ you can get it from the source

Thanks led farmer. I just decapped and trimmed my first batch of 223/556. It was pitifully slow and my thumb is seriously swollen.
OP, if time is not a concern you can buy a hand held press and do all your reloading that way. I have been using the lee hand press for a few months now, though i was only loading .45 and they say it's one of the most forgiving to load.
