    m855 pulled bullets, $45/K

Just passing along some info. These guys have machine pulled m855 for $45/K. I ordered 5K yesterday and they said they had a bunch in stock. Good deal for loading some practice ammo.

Just a reminder, these are M855, 62gr STEEL core bullets. So they will attract a magnet. And many indoor and outdoor ranges do not allow them.

just FYI, those projectiles attract a magnet, so they are not range legal (depending on which range you shoot at)

        but, killer price!

The sell m2 ball as well. I may get some to load for my M14. I doubt I'd want to run that threw my Remmy.

I forgot to ask if they had any in stock. I could use some for the garand.

The webisite hasn't been updated in a while so pricing and availability might not be correct.

They use a USPS flat rate box and charge the 9 bucks or so.. They said they can fit 5k of the m855's in there.

Can M2 Ball be used for reloading .308 (7.62x51) and 7.55 Swiss.
If it works for 7.62x54 as well, I will be the happy camper!

Dunno about 7.55 Swiss or 7.62x54.

But YES on the .308. You just have to seat it deeper than the original canneullure (crimp).

I looked into buying some cheap bullets, and found out that some bullets get distorted in the pulling process and must be resized for decent accuracy past 100 yards, so this could be good for practice/plinking ammo, but probably not for anything more demanding.

I've heard not-great things about that distributer, due in part to it being a one-man (or rather, woman) show, so orders get backed up fast and the website gets updated infrequently. To her credit I think she did sign up on arfcom to update some customers w/issues. I think there's still a guy there that's out 1k of brass (maybe more) since August/September and still hasn't been made right.

Let us know if they work out for you.

I'll let you know. On their website they say they are resized. We'll see.

m2 will work in both 308 and 7.5 swiss(same caliber, 308) but not as well in 7.62x54(.311, 312). I have bought M2 and M80 balls from River Valley Ord before, they are ususally tumbled collet pulled surplus. Have had a few tracers with the original orange paint tumbled off. Also some M2 balls with different length and jacket thickness.

seat past cannelure(deeper) for 308, seat to chamber length for 7.5swiss.

I used the m2 ball that i purchased from polygunbag for my M1A and my garand and it's pretty descent at 100 yrd. shooting. Seems they have the same supplier.
