I bought 2000 federal 205 primers to reload for my AR before I was aware of the slam fire risk, and that the 205's are some of the softest primers out there. I've fired some 300-400 rounds with the 205's so far with no issues except a for a dud primer.

I frantically searched online for anyone who has had any issues with these primers in ARs and could not find any. I only found a handful of posts where people have actually experienced a slam fire firsthand. And none of them mentioned what primers they had or if they were even shooting reloads.

I think the most important factors in avoiding slamfires are good primer seating depth and a properly maintained rifle.
