    9mm and 45acp powder ?

I just ordered 1000 ea 9mm and 45acp xtream plated bullets in 115rn and 230rn to start with and learn getting the coal and crimp and so on.

I have 2lbs of Bullseye to start with and was thinking about getting some W231 also to do some comparason of feel and performance and would like to know what your thoughts are on this.

Will or dose it make a differance between the two powders and are they suited better for specific calibers ?

I'm getting so many answers that i need a poll, Soooooo, please vote

Not sure for bullseye but yes different powders have different results.
For action shooting 231 makes major easily with faster felt recoil.
Personally I like WST for minor I find the recoil much smoother and softer.

    For the most part I load 9, 40, and 45 with 700x.

I use 231 for both. Titegroup for both as well. Never used BE for 9mm.

Damn Joe, this is the second thread in two minutes that I'm going to echo you.
WST is one of the best powders for 45 that there is. For low to medium loads in 9mm, WST is also hard to beat.

Meters like water, silver in color, cheap, easy to find, burns cooler, less recoil, way cleaner...
          What's not to like?

WST's only downfall is the lack of data for 9mm. Just PM and I'd be happy to share any data for it.

I love Bullseye great pop clean but gets hot fast. I always tell guys to start with 231 cause it is a lot more forgiving than faster stuff like clays and bullseye.

I use 231 for both, and also for .44 special, .38 Special and 40S&W, since I am lazy, I try to pick combinations that allow me to use the same or similar charge weight between several different chamberings so I don't have to fiddle with the meter as much.

Power Pistol and Bullseye are my goto powders for 9 & 45. Power Pistols for more pop full power rounds and Bullseye for mellower paper punching rounds.

I use Bullseye for most pistol loads, I mainly just plink, and do tac courses and such so at $102 for 8lbs, it's pretty hard to beat.
