Yeee Haw! Got lots of 44 Mag & 45 acp brass from the range today!!

Usually when I go to my local outdoor range, I first check for the occasional brass I like to reload. I'm lucky if I find 10 good 45 acp laying around and NEVER find any 44 Magnum.

    HOWEVER, today I found over 200 new/once fired 45 acp and 100 new/once fired 44 Magnum!

Big deal, right? I mean, I've got hundreds of each already and reload like crazy. But to find that much of my favorite brass was like a kid in a candy dtore for me today!

    I'm addicted... Lol...

Nice. Ijust love to get a score like that. My best was a pile of about 100 once fired 30-06 shells.

Good luck! The days of brass just laying around are long gone. Darn those brass vultures.

I'm jelous. I've never been able to find 45acp brass. I have however found about 300 pieces of 223. Had to work quick after the guy left because there is always a Hmong collecting brass to recycle. as soon as the guy left we were both collecting brass like it was crack

Yep, it's always good when you get a find like that. Good score, and keep the eyes open. As you discovered, you never know.

Fortunately for the brass whores in my area, the range I'm at has patrons who typically don't reload. You name it, if it's for handguns, they leave it. I've even scored a bunch of 500 S&W Magnum brass--can you imagine that?? Since we have some .44 Magnum and .45 Colt rental guns, that brass doesn't show up super-frequently, but often enough to be most helpful. And .45 ACP's just lying around beggin' to be picked up (which, naturally, is done--gotta be helpful, you know!).

Ye olde Grande Traditione of ye Brass Whore be'eth a noble one, indeed!

Just occurred to me...Greenpeace should be tickled pink that we're recycling all this metal and keeping it out of the landfills...right?

Good score. Around here the best time is after Leo qualifications. They really don't pick up after themselves.
