    .25 acp blue dot loads??

I have only been able to find 1 recipe for .25 acp using Blue Dot. It calls for
1 gr. , however I thought I would ask if you think it is prudent. I have 2 cans of Blue Dot already and was hoping not to have to purchase something different.

I'm not at home to look it up. I do know that I use 1.1gr of Red Dot when I load .25acp. I would think 1.0 gr of Blue Dot would be a safe starting place.

Thanks CSA! Are there any more votes of confidence?

I am unfamiliar with the mighty .25, but I would think Blue Dot would be a tad slow for that round. But you found the recipe. If it's from a trusted source (not the web, I hope), blast away.

1 grain of Blue Dot...7,000 shots per 1 lb can. WOW!

Going to Alliant's website, they have 2 loads...

35 gr Speer HP - Max load of 1.7gr of Bullseye for 1,040 fps
          and
40 gr Speer TMJ RN - Max load of 1.3gr of Bullseye for 812 fps

Remember that Alliant's website only post MAXIMUM charges. Reduce by 10% to start.

My edition of Lee's book list loads for Red Dot, Green Dot and Bullseye for Alliant powders.
