Walmart is cheapest source of 9mm?!?!?

What is this crap? I used to get a kick out of searching online for the best ammo deals but I can't find anything cheaper than walmarts winchester white box 100rd value pack. Even reloads are more after shipping is processed. I guess I should just be happy. The clerk said they get about 20 boxes a day!

They sell their 100rd value packs for what my shop pays for them. Buying in *bulk* makes it easy on them. Who can compete with that?

Yeah, Wal-Mart sells it for half of what any of the local gun stores sell it for. Economies of scale can be a b**ch.

        No way.
They are selling the 100round boxes for under $6?
That's what it costs me to reload 9mm.

I don't think he meant shipping on components, think he meant buying reloaded ammo online.

Get yourself a Dillon 550. $600 investment but it will pay itself off in the long run.

For $4 more bucks, you can pickup a box of whitebox winchesters and don't have to touch any reloading equipment. Duarte Wallys

You sure you're not thinking of the 50rd. boxes?

I don't even reload myself yet, haven't managed to save up for a reloader because I keep buying rifles. I do need to get a Dillon asap though, as my supply of cheap 9mm will run dry in the next month or so. Ammo is just too darn expensive.

                550 is a good start.
Had I known then what I know now, I would have started with a 650.

When I'm trimming brass on the 650, there is the Dillon trimmer and vacum cleaner running.
                    I wear muffs during that.

Unfortunately I don't have the ability to own reloading equipment in my current living situation. When I move into a decent sized apartment my kitchen will become mini-miwalls. I am comparing prices with outdoor marksman reloads which are $84.95/500 w/o shipping. I bought 500 rounds at wallmart last night for $84.69 after tax. So I am getting new ammo for less than reloads out the door with tax versus without shipping. Pretty crazy if you ask me. I think I will go buy another 2k

I had read that too. The zip code that they shipped too is more than $10 cheaper than here. Walmart still owns you!

Yes, but you have to realize that it's Wal-Mart you're giving money to.

The Walmart in my area charges me $8.40 (taxed, 50 rounds CCI Blazer Brass):

                              $8.40 x 20 = $168

SG charges me $157.96 shipped. That's with the $2 "adult signature" fee.

I save about $10.04. I also "save" gasoline going to Walmart. For me, Walmart's ammo price is my benchmark for cheap plinking brass cased ammo. Anything less than Walmart's price is a significant savings so I'm always on the hunt. I wonder how much I would save if I buy 10K from SG? Problem is, I don't have enough money.
