Ammo in gun shows vs internet

In general, are the deals better in gun shows or the internet (slickguns.com, etc)?

    I am looking primary for 7.62 x 39 and 7.62 x 54r

    Also maybe 30-06

Watch the internet for free shipping and $20 off coupons Brownells, Midway, and Cabelas send them out every month. I avoid sales tax, parking and entry fees by purchasing most of my factory ammo on-line.

I find prices are better on line, particularly when you consider the cost of admission, parking etc for the gun show. One on line vendor I buy from offers free shipping.

ETA: see www.ammoman.com for ammo shipped free to your door.

I almost always find better deals online. The only thing i buy at gunshows are powder and primers becuase of the hazmat. If i need more than 10k primers or 10 lb of powder i order online anyway

              DAMN STRAIGHT.

However, if you ignore the cost of admission, time and gas and parking at the gunshows then they could have some of the best prices.

Ammoman.com has GREAT prices DELIVERED and luckygunner has great prices too but it seems that the last few times we looked the best prices were had at the gunshow. Of course we had to wheel it all back to the truck and we DID buy a lot of it so just keep that in mind. If you go gunshow you may or may not have tax but you should buy at least 500+ rounds to get your money's worth. Some vendors break it down and if you buy like 1000 rounds or 500 rounds or 250 you get different pricing. You also get a lot of nice shiny things to run your hands through and sometimes an ammo box or two. Online you just get to wait AND then after you hit SUBMIT order, you find it cheaper elsewhere... LoL.

As far as powder and primers are concerned, I have not really priced them out too much at the shows but from what I saw, Sorry Charlie, I will stick to online ordering. I am CHEAP and I will think nothing to place an order for 5000+ primers and powder online at Powdervalley. I feel that the puny $25 hazmat fee is nothing compared to what I just saved getting primers for $16-$21 per 1000. Of course I also get a few lbs of powder and it REALLY helps to get others to add to the order too so you can split shipping and hazmat...

powder and primers are best at shows but put it this way:

a afternoon going to a Fun show and NOT having to deal with wife girlfriend, kids, house work etc is PRICLESS
