Primer crimp removal on a progressive press?

I'm considering getting into a progressive press setup. I just finished loading 1K .308 rounds based off once fired LC brass the hard way using a single stage press, Giraud trimmer, RCBS swager for the military crimp removal, etc... & this was a truly painful experience. I'm now looking at my 5 gallon bucket full of once fired 5.56 LC brass that needs to be processed & I'm dreading the thought of it.

Is there a progressive press or die that will work in a progressive press that will remove a military crimp besides the Dillon 1050? I'd like this to be as hands-off of an operation as possible.

I think the 1050 is the least expensive option in the area.

You sound like a perfect candidate for those bulk brass processing houses, then you could get a simple progressive and bang out 500 rounds an hour.

Low priced hands off swaging? The inventor of this would be a millionaire.

The Dillon 1050 would do it all.

However, you may want to just send your brass to this guy, he do it all for a reasonable price.

That is what I do. I get it bulk processed. Then just prime, charge and seat on the progressive. Except the guy I use no longer does it.

No I haven't tried that. I've been using the RCBS Swager die in my single stage press. Is the Dillon setup better/less labor intensive than the RCBS?

Much quicker and better. I too have the RCBS swager, what a pain to use compared to the Dillon Super Swage. There is a youtube video on a homemade upgrade to the Super swage (bascially a rubber band and piece of string), a big upgrade for speed.

Funny you say that. I was just contemplating selling all my 5.56 brass, taking the money I was prepapared to spend on a 1050, & buying 7K brand new factory loaded 5.56 rounds. LOL!

But seriously, I need to get this sorted out with a long term solution. My wife agreed to take a few carbine classes with me so I'll be going through a little bit of ammo. Combined with my monthly trips to the range, I need to be able to reload some volume.

I use LC for my match .308 rounds & have 15+ reloads on the same casings. Hard to get that out of any other brass besides $$Lapu*****. $.10 vs $.50 per casing.

No sh*t? Does this combo cut the time spent swaging significantly?

Watch the video and judge for yourself. I have also seen guys on youtube that use the RCBS die like we have and I can't approach what they do. Using the RCBS die is very slow going for me. Borderline not worth it.
