How do you all manage the brass shavings?

Shake it over a trash can as per the Giraud write-up?

Or, do you all use a vacuum with a nozzle that can get in the cutting area.

Yes, the Giraud is one of those died and gone to heaven buy's. I do thousands of .223 at a time. It gets even faster on the second trim. I have two cutting heads. I think I will dedicate one to just .223. I'll also put a lock ring on the col-lets.

The only problem I have found so far with my Giraud is if I trim to much brass at one time my thumbs & fingers get sore if I don't use some light weight gloves! Had mine for several years and use it to trim .204, 223, 308 & 300 BlkOut.

hows it hold up under use when trimming the 300 blkout. Any heat issues with the motor??

I have only used it on my fired 300 BlkOut brass. Was very lucky to have a guy process a couple of 1000 rounds for $65 a thousand.

Received my Giraud this past weekend!!! It is wonderful! Many avid High Power competitors trim every time they reload. This will make trimming SWEET.

Ordered the Giraud brass trimmer for .223 yesterday, 4 week wait. Should have it just in time for my 50th

You won't regret it....

And you'll see a lot of "new" friends coming over to your house to "visit". LOL.

Do you guys also trim new brass? ...seems you would want to get a chamfer on them also.

I bought some LAPUA 308 brass ($) as part of my first reloading attempt. I have a backlog of used brass ready to go, but wanted to use pristine (virgin?) cases for my first go round.
