what do you mean by "slug your barrel"?

Its going to be coming out of a ruger service six 2.75"

More than likely the .358 is what you want. As already mentioned slugging really won't do much for you since you aren't casting your boolits. As long as your barrel isn't measuring in the .356 zone, .358 will work the best.
