bought 50 rounds of ammo in a plastic case for $10 hoping it is 223. looks to be the same size. bottom of case says WCC85. could it be a caliber other than 223? thanx in advance JIM

western cartrige company manufactured 1985 probably 556 so size it and it will be 223 -
is it possible it could be something else? set it beside other 223/556 and it looks closeComment

WCC is Western Cartridge Company. 85 is the date.
I believe it's .mil 5.56.
