Worlds Finest Trimmer?

Me too. I ordered a bunch of stuff from Midway the other night. I ordered a Possum Hollow trimmer for 30-06. Still considering the WFT to do .308, since neither MFG makes a Universal 30 caliber trimmer.
My Buddy swears by the PH, unless you are loading for Benchrest.
Antihero47, Where is the adjustment on the WFT?Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.
Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

The thing makes CLEAN square cuts on the case mouths and was within +/- .001" with the same headstamp.
The adjustment are two allen screws that hold onto the cutter. The shaft is the cutter which is centered in the trimmer. What you do is loosen them and place a properly trimmed case into the trimmer, turn the trimmer upside down and then drop the cutter down and tighten the screws. You now have it set to trim to the length of the case you set it up with.Comment

Why does your friend think it's not good enough for benchrest shooters? It cuts nice and square and you just need to chamfer and deburr like usual.Comment

Sounds simple enough for this Caveman. ThanksThe thing makes CLEAN square cuts on the case mouths and was within +/- .001" with the same headstamp.

He didn't elaborate. Maybe he is getting a little crotchedy?
After next payday I think I'll order a WFT for the 308 so I can do a side by side comparison.Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

Yes, the 20 that I've tried have clean flat mouths with no burrs on the inside or outside. I would load them no problem. As I've said before I had a Dillon trimmer that cut the case mouths this clean and I didn't notice any accuracy difference at considerable distances than with the chamfered/deburred cases.
I do however run all my cases through a Lyman m die that expands the mouth just a little bit and uniforms the size of the case mouths.Comment
