A couple of tips: You may want to use Dillon primer pickup tubes because they have soft tips and it's a lot easier to pick up your primers with these tubes than it is with the ones Hornady provides. Also, if you use the PTX you may want to get the adjusting bracket from Hornady. This makes it much easier to set the amount of case bell. Finally, if your getting that indentation that develops on the base of the frame, just under the primer punch, you might want to place a washer (or coin) there to get a more positive primer push/install. Here's a Youtube vid that I posted on my Hornady and at the end of the vid I show the adjusting bracket that I'm referring to and the coin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxuBWa16WeM

the Hornady tubes don't seem to be too bad after you pick up a couple hundred primers and they break in. My press came with the adjusting bracket for the PTX and I set it up. It makes it nice so the powder drop doesn't flex. Thanks for the tip on the coin/washer. i'll keep an eye out for the indentation.

A question on your case feeder. Do you just manually fill the case tube? Can you buy just the bottom part you show for a more reasonable price than the entire case feeder? I wouldn't be adverse to buying the bottom portion and using the tube with something like the lee case colator. Especially if it is much less than the $300 for the Hornady Case Feeder.

It would be sweet to use the $28 bullet feeder and get a case feeder for a reasonable price.

From what I hear Hornady will not sell the lower case feeder parts, to get them you have to buy the whole case feeder.

There is a guy on youtube that made a complete case feeder for the lnl, including making all of the lower parts.
I had e-mailed him before I bought my case feeder about getting some specs or ideas on how he made it, but he never wrote back.
You could try to make something just from his video if you wanted a project.

Glad it worked out Clownpuncher. I think I would send a well thought out email to Midway & explain how you felt the Customer Service Rep acted inadequately. I worked as a CSR for years & had to learn to eat crow for a coworker's/mfg'r screwup. Everyone had a bad day, but if nothing else, the CSR should have made a better effort w/o an attitude.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.
