Ok, you all win. After my initial horror with my LnL press I finally got my parts in and installed the screws on the press.
After getting done with that I had to re-adjust everything again from die seating to timing. So, it would appeart that the lack of the bolts was causing the sub plate to move un-noticed by me which was caused me to have to make all of the adjustments the first day. After making the adjustments back (again) it worked great.
The powder drop is smooth and accurate. Even with small loads it measures well and it measures well with Unique, which I have typically had issues with metering properly. I installed the PTX in the drop and I highly recommend it, it works great.
I put a powder check on station 3 (RCBS lockout) and was able to move through a bunch of rounds pretty fast and I would periodically check the weight of the powder dispensed (which was always good) and just for fun I would leave it empty to make sure it would catch it. It did, every time.
All in all, after finding my rhythm, I was loading about 300 rounds an hour and in total I loaded about 600 rounds of 40. Despite my initial issues and frustration, which I am beginning to think is the fault of Midway, not Hornady, I really like the press and I'm glad I got it. The only drawback to it that I can see is that I will now spend less time reloading because I can crank rounds out so quick on it.
I did buy a few extra things, such as the lockout die and an extra pickup tube so it makes loading primers a bit quicker since I can get 300 ready before starting but total was about $450 and I still need to get my free bullets.
Overall I'm very happy with it but still disappointed with the way the experience started out and, as I said before, I really believe my issues were Midway's fault.
