        Maybe you could get Golden West Brass to give you a discount on bullets.

          I've thought about them but I'm most interested in powders and primers right now. Hopefully I can find somebody willing to deal on all of it.

          When you post up let me know the approx. quantity also.

            Im in for a few pounds of W231 and IMR4895, plus a case of SPP and LRP. If you order from wideners they have free hazmat right now and some sweet 8lb jugs of mil-surp powder. I would definatley like to try some of that

              You know I hate to admit it but I've never tried Mil-surp powder.. How do you like it? Does it burn clean or dirty? What’s the burn rate (fast, slow or medium?) give me the low down big guy..

              Thanks..

                  Never tried it either but its Dirt cheap and good enough for our military so i think it will be fine. Theres not much load data out there but they usually list a canister powder thats similar so you can extrapolate load data from there.

                  WC867 is what they use for 50 BMG and its only $39 for 8 lbs!!!

                  SMP844 is supposed to be good for .223

                  SMP846 is supposed to be good for .223/.308

                  I ran into a guy at the range and the surplus powder is all he uses, even in handgun rounds. He offered to email me all the load data hes worked up but id prefer to work up my own loads.

                      ok I have heard back from a few supply houses and they all seem willing to deal, with either no haz-mat and $50 to ship up to 200lbs. to 5-10% off web prices on certain items. It seems the milestones are $3k and $5k, we hit those and it gets cheaper.

                      cci primers seem to be the most widely available.(best deal)

                      Order is bieng placed on the 5th. All money needs to be to me by the 4th. For pricing we will kind of have to play it by ear. Expect to pay internet price with $.50 per pound of haz-mat matieral. Meaning you order an 8lb jug of varget price is $139.50+$4 haz. So you would owe $143.50. Whatever the price ends up it will be lower if you have a specialty item ask here or im me I'll find the price. prior to the order I will have your exact amount. At that time I will refund you or hand you cash.

                      I appologize but due to their bieng such a variety of items I can not get an accurate price sheet together. I am going to continue to hammer on them for us.

                        Do they have an online price list? how much for IMR4895, W231, SPP, and LRP?

                          Use wideners prices as the bench mark guys. They have a complete catalog online and are about as cheap as I could find. If it varies a few dollars either way you will be told/re-imbursed.

                          IMR4895= $19.50lb/$139 8lbs
                          W231= $17lb/$118 8lbs
                          spp=$27.50 1k
                          lpp=$29 1k

                          Do not be alarmed that most shows out of stock. I am using this website for pricing as they are about the cheapest. If you want something that is out of stock and it is haz-mat I'll leave that up to the individual on how they would like to proceed. Meaning opt-out, pay the seperate shipping if charged etc...

                            Within the last month I read an article about reclaimed mil-surp powder, wish I could find it again. It said the military takes sample rounds and pulls them down and has the powder tested. When it gets down to the last 20% of it's lifespan, they pull it down and sell the powder.

                            IF you're gonna make blaster ammo that won't be sitting on the shelf, go for it. Something that might sit around for years, go with the new stuff.

                            Not to rain on your parade, but these group buys seem like a lot of work for not saving much money. Couple of weeks ago I got 5K of Tula SR for $80, 5K of CCI SP for $115, 5#s of various powder that were around $21-22 a pound. Paid $20 for shipping and hazmat combined. From Graf and Son.

                            Just the gas for one trip to deliver the money and a second trip to pick up the goods was more than the hazmat and shipping I paid. Now if you can get to the $3K or $5K order and they knock 20% off, then you got something. Hope you make that level and get some serious savings. This reloading stuff is just amazingly expensive compared to what it cost 5 years ago.
