I wouldn't mind dropping a few hundred on 30cal, 50cal or 40mm can if somebody wants to split.

I couldn't find the information on shipping. A whole bunch or pallets were in TN, but the local auctions didn't show pictures and the title wasn't enough description to even start the $50 opening bid.

The cost of shipping anything like that negates the deal factor.

Depending on your location there are base sales all over the country as I recall Camp Pendleton had some can auctions on GL.

there are also some at times at Sierra Army depot.

Check and wait for the GL auctions to come to a base near you.

        Thanks SAS.

I have a 1 ton truck, but I don't think I can fit more than 2 pallets at a time. That's a lot of cans!

              I've found some decent sized lots (3-4 pallets) within trucking distance (1 hour out). http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/endecaSearch?Ntt=USCA|7549|CA7V+CA7+CA16V+CA16+CA3 +CA3V+CA10V+CA10&Ntk=P_Auction_Country_State|P_Cat egory_Id|P_Warehouse&Ntx=mode+matchany|mode+matcha ny|mode+matchany&N=0&Nty=1&Ns=Lot%20Number|0&locat ion_munged=US_CA&category1_munged=7549&warehouse_m unged=CA7V,CA7,CA16V,CA16,CA3,CA3V,CA10V,CA10&perP age=30&cmd=keyword/"

Anybody have an idea what these kind of lots usually go for? I don't see any bidders on the son to close, or fresh auctions. Even with a truck rental for the day, it might be worth it for a few pallets of cans. I would only want about 20-30 total to last the rest of my life.

              Justin

EDIT: Damn thats a long link....

Supply Sergeant in Hollywood has them for about $5 or $6 a piece.

                  Pretty interesting.

Reminds me when I first found ebay and was in ahh!! with the very low prices until I figured out all the bidding was done in the last 13 seconds of the auctions as people used sniper software to bid at the last second else they would end up bidding against themselves and arificially driving up the price even more.

I was looking for a cheap surplus nuclear reactor, but it looks like they don't have any today.

But man, they do have a great deal on 1416 of the old school triangle handgaurds originally purchased at over $12,000 that have a current bid of 10 cents each. Bet the shipping on 900 pounds though would cost more than the auction.

I am also watching the auction on the M-16 rack as it can almost hold all the AR-15's I have collected so maybe I will get two since no one has even bid on them.

                  or

I wonder if there is sniper software for this site and if the real price is the bidding that happens in the last 13 seconds.

                  GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Major Surplus in Gardena has 50 cal cans for 4.95 and 30 cal for 2.99 (i think). If none are out just ask them for some.
