I have done business with Gunstop for all my Kwick Trims, and other reloading supplies. They are excellent, fast service and shipping.

As you can see they think outside the box to solve problems too.

      I recommend them unreservedly.

from the youtube vids, they look like they work on the same exact principles. PH uses a "universal" chuck holder and you slip in the different cutter heads. i think the WFT is all built in as one unit and looks a bit bigger/beefier. i don't see why it would need to be so big? haven't used mine yet, so i can't comment on heat or waste build up being an issue if any? i have no idea about the life of the cutter head either..

they both index off the shoulder and trim till the shoulder stops it... they both have holes to drop out the waste material. only difference i can see operationally is that the WFT has a bearing on the inside that spins... not sure what that is supposed to do in relation to the operation?

PH only makes 4 trimmers that handles all the cartridges so that would make it a cheaper investment (at ~$25 a piece and $10 for the chuck holder = ~$110 vs the ~70/WFT trimmer). for a little more than the price of 2 WFT's, you can get the entire set of PH trimmers.

Btw, I had best results on mine on high speed in my drill press for .223. Try the low speed, 500-600 rpm. Then change your belts to high speed 3000 rpm. No chatter, sweet... Ymmv

How much drag was there at the higher speed? Running at 500 RPM with once fired/never trimmed brass will kill my thumb after a while.

The WFT cuts real nice and square, but is a b@#$& to set. Best way I found is to have a reference case. Also noticed that different headstamp brass measure differently.

I found a pretty easy way to set my PH trimmer, I used a Hornady modified case to get it in the ball park, trimmed a case, measured the depth of the cutting blade from the back of the trimmer, adjusted caliper depth the appropriate amount, and reset blade. Only took one try to get it right.
