Also, you can tap a few times, see the bullet start to come out but stop before it pops out. Then re-seat at the length you want and recrimp after the fact. Prevents your powder loss

If his bullet is .56 too deep, shooting it out could be very dangerous. Depending on the powder charge, the CUP might be too high.

Personally, if you can't get the bullet out, then I would use some Linemans pliers to cut the case in half & recupe the bullet & powder.

i was able to use the kinetic puller. I made sure that the overall length with bullet on is 3.34 in. It was 3.25 before and the brass has the correct size for 30-06

If you don't mind sacrificing the projectile and would like to save the brass and powder: remove your die, place a large fender washer on top of press to protect threads, run cartridge up in press through washer, grasp bullet with a pair of vise grips and pull the cartridge back down through the press. Dump out the powder, fire the primer off in your firearm w/muzzle in safe direction (resizing and depriming with a live primer is not something I recommend). Now you can start over. I do this all the time. Particularly with old unlabled ammo (in which case I dispose of the powder).

your method worked great for me -- i had 1 bullet i had to pull and don't have a puller.
