300 in 60 minutes today to included filling the primer tube 3 times and boxing 200 of them in the middle of that hour.

Very pleased. Now to start accumulating more spare parts to hep facilitate change overs.

Getting the powder safety rod adjusted, getting the powder measure die taken apart to switch powder bars, adjusting the powder die height for the right caliber, taking apart the primer mechanism to change out the primer carousel, taking apart the primer punch.... ughh. Then you get it all set up and get ready to deal with all the powder that drops out of the casings as the press indexes when using a powder that almost fills the case getting all over the place and under the shell plate.

Could I have fixed these things with more time and more money? Sure, three hundred plus dollars to get powder measures and powder through dies for the 3 other calibers I reloaded for. Bringing total investment into the $1,900 range.

"but there's Dillons customer service, it cant be beat, right!?" Eh, I've payed less and still had Hornady replace parts for my old as dirt press no charge.

Wow, most of your issues could have been solved with a different toolhead for each caliber you load. Safety rod s just an aligning the powder drop to the connection, True the priming system can be a pain but that is only if you load cartridges with different size primers. Did you have a casefeeder with your system? Anywho sounds like the LNL is working for you, I tend to not like th e hornady capture spring but to each his own and this is not a red vs blue post

I still use my rockchucker for pulling bullets, primer pocket swaging & precision rifle loads!

It fits nicely on the loading bench, inbetween the 2 Dillon 650's...
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

Natches has the 10 pack of LnL bushings and 6 pack of lock nuts in stock at a fair price...just ordered some more myself. The red Hornady wrench is handy for holding the shellplate when installing or removing. A 7/16" wrench for the primer seater, and a set of small SAE allen wrenches with the ball end make things much easier. Tiny pliers like these will make things easy also. The long straight nose ones are great for grabbing the rare primer that gets out of place, and the bent nose ones make attaching/removing the primer feed spring a piece of cake.

I did have different tool heads for every caliber. The pistol/rifle dies were set. The only thing that wasn't set was the powder measure and die that I had to transfer between every tool head, I wasn't about to spend 300+ dollars to get one for each. Yes, I did have the case feeder with it as well along with the Dillon RT-1200 trimmer and dies for each caliber. I did like that, and will be purchasing another.

Yeah, some people love Dillon's and that's fine, personal preference for me is Hornady.

ok ok, I'm done thread jacking.
