    458socom with hard cast bullets. The bullet and would would look like they were from a 45-70. Use a brass catcher.

      Fired through custom barrels with rifling cut to match something from the period.

        .45-70 doesn't come in 'till 1873. Before that .50 was the common bore size both for frontstuffers and the later .50-70 trapdoor conversions.
