Well, considering the fact that if i buy online, there is a hazmat and special handling fee for large pistol primers. I just got a quote from a local gun shop around here that sells them for $4.05 per 100. Is this a decent price?

its about $5-10 higher then online per 1000 without the hazmat fee and shipping, so yea it not a bad price. if i could find them around me for that price i would buy them.
If you have friends that reload, you get a bulk order and split the hazmat/shipping fee -
I normally get them for around 40 for 1000 so that's not badNRA Endowment Life Member

No i have not, but that is not local at all
Im out here in the antelope valley, there is a santa fe gun galeria with the most arrogant and rude price gouger i have ever met. He even has tried to buy ALL the ammo from the local walmarts just so he could control the supply and sell his .45 wwb 50 round packs for $49.99. Then there is a fudtastic shop called hi desert storm that tried to tell me that my featureless wasr required AW registration paperwork. I explained to him that it was featureless, then he said "read the AW law regarding modifications which state it is ilegal to modify your gun in any way" basically you could not modify it from the way it was when you bought it from an ffl.

But aside from that FUD, Hi desert storm is good. They have decent prices on the ar's last time i was there. Not bad for a LGS. They just need a little guidance in the right direction, maybe i will suggest calguns to them next time.Show your friends your 1911's and your enemies your glocks!

Really? Turn him in to who? Dept of consumer affairs?
I know for a fact that they refused to sell them all to him at my local walmart (closest one to my house). He even asked to speak to the store manager and asked to be shown what law limited his purchases. The manager still refused.
Wait, do you mean the price or the fact that he tried to buy up all the local ammo?Show your friends your 1911's and your enemies your glocks!

Sometimes Turner's has their mid week special. The last time they had their special I paid $2.25 per 100 Win LPP. Here was yesterday's offer.

Im sure if something happens where people start making a run on ammo, he would try to do it again. Even if he had to get some friends (although i find it hard to believe that he actually has any friends) and clean the shelves out in several transactions.Show your friends your 1911's and your enemies your glocks!

dealers have to buy there ammo from a legal supplier ( i think ) I asked this question to my local dealer why not buy ammo from walmart and mark it up a few bucks, so it will make us happy for the price and we dont have to deal with walmart, he said he couldn't buy from walmart in resale it.
a FFL dealer should be able to explain why you cant better then me.Comment
