I used to use the Wal-Mart corn-cob bedding material, but the walnut works a lot better. Plus, this brand of corn cob is too large and it can get stuck in small cases (like .223).
I use the petsmart stuff myself, not sure how it compares to petco but it is very fine. I also mix in some of that fancy walnut with the rouge layered on it that I got from a friend. The problem with the rouge stuff only is that it gets stuck inthe primer pockets but it's not so bad when you mix it and the rouge still does it's job. The petsmart stuff is a lot finer. I might have to try adding some cax wax or something next time but the brass is already shinier than new most of the time.

Anyone tried adding Meguires NXT? Will any car wax work?

I use the corn that came with my Cabelas tumbler. Every couple of polishes, I add 2 capfuls of NU Finish.

I only use this for cleaning off lube though.

I use Crushed walnut shells from the local Feed store. a 40lb bag cost me $14.00.

I get the smallest, which seems to be a little smaller than bird feed.

I use a harbor freight ultra sonic with Hornady One Shot Sonic Clean. Its the best way to go, sold off my tumbler and will never go back.

Really sounds mixed...corn, walnut, corn. I mix them with couple caps of polish. Works pretty well. Whatever I can find for the best price. Cases get clean, but I don't need see my face with them. Take your pick Kenm.

I use Petsmart "Zilla" lizard bedding = crushed walnut. Screw over paying for crushed walnut media at gun shows its a rip.

I mix 50/50 my walnut and corncob with a cap or two of Osso cleaner/polishing . My Lyman 2600 tumbler is larger and it will handle about 600 .223 cases at a time. Using this mix for about 6 hours makes the cases polish up to a mirror finish, almost. No stuck cob debris in the cases with walnut keeping the mix separated. I can clean 18 to 20 50bmg cases in this same mix and I get the same results..
I have been using this same mix adding only a toothpaste squeeze of Flitz in it now for about 5,000 cases of both calibers and it is still working perfect.

I just use walnut and add some polish from Midway now and then.
But I think I'll look at the feed store, and Petsmart about those suppliers.
The thought of a 40# bag of media makes me drool. I might even throw out the used stuff.
