    Tumbling brass? what to use..

I have been reloading for a little while now, a few thousand rounds and finally ran out of clean brass. I bought a lyman tumbler and the green corn cob media. It cleans fairly well but looks dull, not that that really matters i just want to make sure im doing everything right. Is there anything else im supposed to add or do? like liquid polish or case lube when i tumble? i notice other peoples brass is shinier? does it matter? have anything to do with how it feeds or anything? also where is the best place to get a media seperator and which one? along with case seperators.

Shiny brass is not important, but has been known to attract women of loose morals, so it can't hurt.

Straight corn cob will shine your brass, you're probably just not tumbling it long enough. Try 3 hours.

To speed things up a cap of nu-finish will add that extra sparkle you're looking for.

Dryer sheets are really the most important additive as they will extend the life of your media 10 fold. They will suck all the dust and crap out of the media. I use a new dryer sheet per batch of brass tumbled.

    Hope this helps.

Bounce will work but I prefer Gain Dryer Sheets with Island Fresh Scent, keeps the brass smelling fresher longer....

But ya any one will work, I have used the old ones after they come out of the laundry and they seem to work fine

^^^^^^^+100000. Dryer sheets cut into 4th's and pick up the media at your local feed store is solid advice.

                    +1 to the dryer sheets.

I use Walnut "litter" I get from the local feed store with some zymol car polish. My brass is clean and slick afterwards.

I tumble in walnut first with a teaspoon of mineral oil to load it, followed by corn media with a teaspoon of nufinish car polish. Run overnight for each. Blings up pretty good

nu finish is a car wax, it is a liquid product added to your tumbling media.
