    Which bullet puller is best/fastest?

In making 1000 .40 on my Dillon 550 I screwed up with one batch of 100 and may have double charged one. I need to pull those 100 rounds. I have a kinetic bullet puller already. What works faster and better?

An expensive pneumatic machine. You could go buy a collet puller and the appropriate collet but, It won't work that much faster or better than your kinetic puller.

Since it's only 100 rounds, and you already have a kinetic puller - it'll probably only take you 15 minutes or so. Make sure to strike it on a very solid surface, and you should be able to pull each one with a single strike.

I have the RCBS puller and it works well for jacketed bullets. For lead, I use the kinetic puller.

FYI, make sure the cap is screwed on tight, or it will break.

RCBS collet puller gets my vote. (Yes I have that and a kinetic puller too, I use the kinetic for pulling just one, collet for quantity).

I'd just bang 'em out with the kinetic. Like said above, you'll be done in less than 15 minutes.

well...you could just shoot'em and when you hit the double charge and you blow the barrel...bring yourself a spare and keep plugging away...

not recomended but will get the job done....had to/ and still doing this with 10k of 223 loaded with weak brass.....

for 100rds the hammer type puller will be your best bet.

Why not just weigh each of the rounds in question. Any double charges should be obviously heavier.

^^^ This. If nothing else, it should give you a few that are suspects to focus on.

i would never use the plastic whacker to dismantle 100

i have the rcbs collet pullet but i wonder if buying the $12 collet is worth it for only 100

The time savings is worth it in my opinion, plus you have the tool for any future needs.

Kinetic Puller is what I used...for 1 or 100. No need to buy something extra as it does the job I need to do.

Because, it WON'T WORK! Since we are only talking about a few grains of powder, by the time you factor in all the inconsitencies of the weights of primers, projectiles and brass, you're going to have a +/- weight of more than a single powder charge.

I have a kinetic puller. Works nice and easy.

                              +1

This doesn't work on pistol calibers.. The amount being weighed is insignificant to the inconsistencies of bullet, brass, primer..

Just take 10 bullets and weight them.. You'll see that they'll vary by 2, maybe even 3 grains from bullet to bullet.. Combine that with brass, then primer weights, you could easily end up with a plus or minus 5 grains..

Best bet is to pull them and reuse the components..
