Just saying...not use to those numbers..for every shot fired from a factory 40sw I can fire 10 for the same price...

The price was for 100 packs, not 50.

All of your ouches are self inflicted.

Since this thread is going off in a couple different directions, I 'll post my comments which don't have alot to do with the initial post I never wanted to get into reloading because of the start up cost, and the fact that I don't really shoot a ton. I was all exited when I could get 45ACP plinking ammo @20.00 a box with my minitary discount. But I decided to spend less than $28.00 after shipping on a Lee Classic Loader since I could do it right there in my living room watching TV soaking up the fire place. If I used the powder that the load sheet mentions with the recommended bullets I would be able to load all the 45ACP that I wanted to without anything more than a non marring mallet and the components which cost me .03 a primer, .13 a bullet for copper plated round nose and powder is not even worth mentioning beyong the initial $20 bucks or so for a pound.

So my only point is that as good as a deal that you will ever find at any vender, you can relax, reload a box of 45ACP for $8.00 a box for copper plater plinking rounds that will shoot just as good as factory. For the price of a Walmart or Big 5 bulk pack, you could buy 250 bullets, all the powder for thousands of rounds, the primers for the 250 bullets and the reloading kit. All you would need is brass, which is easy to come by.

Now I am a Cheap ***, and I mean a Cheap ***. I bought 2000 rounds of lead RNFP that a fellow Calgunner recomended which was a great deal online, and I do not mind taking my time, relaxing while I load a round a minute with my kids, and for me it works out to $5.05 per box of 45ACP and right about the same for 9MM copper plated.

CALGUNS DICTIONARY "FLIER": when a shooter wants to turn a 1 inch group to a half inch group because he flinched.
