It occurred to me, why lube the brass when one can lube the die?! Just lube 1 brass with some motor-oil (light excess) or whatever is available, run it through the die to deprime/resize, and just run the other brasses through dry. From time to time, re-lube the die when the rubbing returns. Also remember to swab the mouth. afterwards, tumble off the lube.
I have a Lees single stage setup, and i hate using the stupid that lube it comes with. it's messy and smells like old people's medicine. before, I was reloading a few .270's at a time, and it was just annoying. Now i'm doing batches of 5.56 and 223, and i just can't stand it. rolling brass after brass on to the lubed surface of a piece of paper. grrr.
hmmm i wonder if gear oil would work best... it's thicker. <that's what she said!>
