    Haven't tried the RCBS X-die but the rifle brass prep service does everything for prep:

    * Tumble clean
    * Deprime
    * Resize
    * Trim
    * Swage

    And then you can you plug-n-play:

    * Prime
    * Powder
    * Bullet

    Good to go from there!

      dillon must be doing something right, if they haven't had to updated their manual in 4 years.
      I have been a Dillon customer for over 25+ years started out with the
      400 series machines, then 500 series machines, then the current 650 series machine. Still working on the family money manager (wife) to get a 1050 machine.

      Yes Mike Dillon does it right, plus he is a great guy. I was in Scottsdale AZ and bought my first 400 series machine from Mike a few light years ago.

          Great choice. I've been reloading now for 9 months. I went straight to a Dillon and by-passed the single stage. Yes, ditto for Brianenos.

                I'm probable being the Devil's Advocate Here

                But after looking through posts here and elsewhere I have seen people that have sold their 650 and purchased a Hornandy Progressive. There were complaints on cheap plastics and other parts that gave them trouble.

                Not speaking from personal experience but just from some research I did earlier reading up on the Dillon because it was of interest to me eventually.

                  I would never sell the Blue Machine to buy a Red Machine.

                        Enjoy your dillon, but be careful!

                            Everyone's mileage may vary. I sold my Dillon XL650 with all the fixings to finance another project. Looking back at it I think I am going to go Hornady just because some of the setup on the XL650 for caliber changes was a little finicky and took awhile. Looking at Hornady they are both cheaper and look to solve some issues I had with the Dillon. Dillon machines are not the end all be all of presses.

                            My opinion is picking a press comes down to what works best for you, not just if you want to drink red or blue koolaid.

                              Never. I will NEVER give up my lifetime no-nonsense dillon warranty for anything red or green.

                              My 650 has loaded near 100k of ammo and yea, I've broken a few parts.

                              Still works as designed and I can smoke 1000-1200 rounds an hour if needed.

                              Try that with any other color than blue...

                              Call me a Koolaid drinker, I don't care. It works and that's my story.

                                i got a 650 for xmas and i LOVE it! order the xtra parts kit and the video tutorial. the video makes it easy to set up new dedicated toolheads without screwing up. the printed directions are worthless.

                                if you ever press and it wont cycle dont force it. something is off so figure out what it is.

                                i have dedicated toolheads for 223 308 & 45. ive done at least 5000 rds since xmas! i go shooting sometimes just so i have something to reload. haha.
