yes, It comes with a little container that holds the primers and the press has a little tool on it that attaches to the ram and you prime on the down stroke. I usualy prime my pistol brass on the down stroke of the case belling stage, you sort of knock two birds out with one stone.
Like I said, if you get the anniversary kit: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...tNumber=423081 $89.00
then all you would need extra would be: (im using .223 for an example)
-a loading manual $20-30.00 - which ever one suits you http://www.midwayusa.com/browse/Brow...315***19845***
-a set of digital calipers about $20.00 -which ever one suits you ( I got mine from HF for 10 bucks)
-Dies $17.29 (some die sets come with shell holders, the Lee RGB dies do not, so you buy it seperately).
-Shell holder, $3.49 (if you go with the Lee RGB Dies)
-Case length guage and shellholder for your trimmer, $4.49 (this shell holder is only for the case trimmer that comes with the kit, when I first bought my kit, I thought it would also work as the shell holder for the press, I was wrong
)
A method of cleaning you brass. When I first started, I didnt get a tumber, I just cleaned my brass with soap and water, the purpose of cleaning is to get any dust or dirt off your brass to protect your dies and gun. I now have a tumbler that I recieved as a gift from another guy I helped get into reloading. It used to drive him nuts that I didnt have one so he got me one for Christmas, ha ha. I will say I do like it more, and my brass is all nice and shiny but it isnt a neccesity.
some people will suggest a bullet puller, but I just use the press and some dikes (very carefully so I dont mess the bullet up and can re-use it)
after this, all you need is components. I buy bullets online, and powder and primers through the local gun store.
This is why the LEE kit is cool, its affordable and it gives you everything you need to get started that isnt caliber specific, even case lube (except the Digi Calipers, but I think they dont give you them because everything in the kit is made by LEE, and they dont make Digi Calipers)
Im happy with it, the only thing I could see myself upgrading is the Case trimmer, but I dont even know if I could find one that is faster cause I put my LEE trimmer in a drill press, and it much faster now, but still tedious.
