    Thanks! I bookmarked it.
I'll wait until they have the bushing in stock, otherwise it would drive me nuts.

I am pretty sure you can convert the Cz-52's to 9mm as well. I think i saw one on gunbroker.
Brasspolisher, thanks for the tip, thats pretty funny! I avoid public ranges, but i will keep it mind.

        Fast Forward 8 Months:

Now that 7.62x25 surplus has gone into a severe dry spell, reloading it makes a lot more sense . Here's a good vid on converting .223 bras to 7.62x25. Would have never thought of that.

That was a good vid, thanks for posting it. I picked up a tubing cutter and cut a few .223 brass at a little over an inch, per the video.

They are recommending using a N guage drill (0.302 in/7.671 mm) to ream out the brass to get it into spec. It seems the .223 has thicker walls.

Has anyone tried another way to thin the brass besides using a drill? Just seems kinda odd to me.

I loaded up 16 of these with 8.0 grains of power pistol. Couldn't get them to chamber in the CZ-52. I think the neck is too thick.

I'm bring thread back to the top.

I'm going to try the .223 --> 7.62 Tok conversion. I found this site and it pretty much identical to the YouTube one.

Find information, resources and relevant links for surplusfirearm.com. This domain may be for sale.

Case Trimming and Neck Turning is the only part I haven't grasped, yet. I've never had to convert a case.

Good luck with it. I never picked up something to thin the necks so I got stopped there.

The neck thinning process is something completely foreign to me. I understand the need because the brass is too thick to take the bullet.

It'll be my Winter project. I don't have a Tok, but I can test it on my buddy's CZ52! I was planning on getting the Tok barrel for my 1911.

I made around 30 of these seemingly without trouble. When I went out to the range with them I couldn't get the CZ-52 to chamber them. It just wouldn't go into battery. The extra thickness just stopped it in its tracks. Bummed me out too.

RogueSniper - any update on your progress?

I just broke down and ordered the RCBS Case Forming Die Set - 7.62mm Tokarev from 223 Remington (RCBS #: 58202). Expensive, but we'll see how it works.

I just got the Lee Tokarev dies (Steel) from Grafs. They were out of stock for a bit. I have the trimmer and stuff. I just cut down a couple of .223 cases a few days ago. I'll try to load a few dummy rounds and function feed them through my cousin's Tok.

I finally got some time to try making some rounds. I've cut, resized, and trimmed 25 cases. They look good! I'm using my 1911 Tokarev barrel as my go-no go gauge and they're dropping in perfectly. I still can't shoot any because I need to do some smithing work on the barrel - file back the hood and such so the barrel will fit.

I'm planning to make a couple of dummy rounds and try to test for any feeding issues.

I had to play around with the OAL so they would feed into the 38Super mag for my Colt. They're still good in the barrel. I'm just achin' to load some live rounds and use my cousin's Tok as a guinea pig!

The cases are PMC and GFL (Fiocchi). I'm saving the Lake City stuff. I read that the LC cases are slightly thicker so I'm skipping the step where I have to ream the necks. I'm expanding the mouth to .301 and the seating the bullets (Hornaday .308 86gr Soft Point RN). I've made five dummy rounds so far.
