A 550 wants a rock solid bench. Anchor it to the wall studs if possible. The more solidly the press is mounted, the better it will operate for you. You will be putting a decent amount of force into it, up, down and forward/back and you don't want the bench flexing or wobbling.
You need to decide if you want to stand or sit while you pull the handle. 36" high is a good height for a bench you will be standing at and working on lots of small widgets.
I started with my 550 mounted at bench height on a 36" H bench and it seemed OK until I tried a friends setup with the Dillon Strong Mount raising the press an additional 8" off the 36" H bench. The angle of force applied to the lever is way better now and my arm does not get fatigued as fast as it did before with the press lower.
Of course I am 6'2" tall, adjust for your needs.
If you want to sit while reloading, start with a bench 28" H and add the Strong Mount if you dare, LOL
Good luck, I am sure you will enjoy your 550 :-)
