    Reloading noobie <-------

    Hi all,

Just wanted to pop in and tell everyone I am reloading now........that is all thank you. LOL, j/k. I never thought reloading would be so exciting. I have been shooting for about 7 years now and finally decided to plunge head first into reloading. Since I am shooting a fair amount of .223,22-250,7.62x39 and 308, plus 40cal for the hand gun, i figured it would be beneficial to start into another branch of firearms.

Picked up a Hornady LNL single stage classic kit. I figured it would be best to start with a ss instead of progressive, even though I love bells and whistles and love the way the progressives work.

I'll keep posting my noob questions in this room and hope to learn alot and get tons of help from you cal-gunners.

    thanks

Congratulations on picking up a new hobby. You will shoot more so you can go home and reload

Congratulations. Good choice on the press. You'll realize that rifle brass takes up more prep time and that a progressive won't save a whole lot of time if you set things up with a single stage the most efficient way. Keeping all dies adjusted in the LnL bushings makes die switching very easy.

Pistol is another story. That stuff is literally fun to crank out by the 100's on a progressive

K, You will be spending a lot of time in the garage. You should have a small fridge (soft drinks no alcohol), a radio/CD, a dead clock & some snacks. Hit me up and we can talk, or maybe I can come over. I might start working in Irvine, so maybe before/after work I can stop by.

BTW ... Its all down hill from here !!!

I donated brass, i'm such a nice friend.

I have some more in my garage, but there's some stuff in it and a weird brass cap on it. I'll give you the brass as soon as I figure out how to empty it out.

My girl loves to shoot as much as I do, and she knows where her ammo comes from. I feel sorry for you guys.

+1 there man - ain't that the truth.

I had to work out of town recently for ~2 months - just about killed me. Was even thinking about a 'portable' reloader...
