    Buying cast bullets

    I'm looking at cast bullets in .44 Special. They are .430" dia. with a Brinell of 12, not hard enough for Magnum use. They are labeled "Cowboy Action Velocities." I'm guessing that means not for compressed loads?

      Usually the cowboy loads are a lot slower

          If I remember correctly some cowboy loads are 800fps. If you are gonna use cast bullets for magnums, make sure they are hard cast and have a gas check. If you don't you'll have to scrub lead out of your rifling. Not fun!!!
